IDEATION Connects with 348 Stakeholders, Fostering Robust Collaboration for Inland Water Innovation
Over the period August 2024 and February 2025, the IDEATION project has successfully connected with 348 stakeholders across 14 countries. This extensive outreach underscores IDEATION’s commitment to building a collaborative ecosystem for advancing regulatory, scientific, and technological solutions for inland waters.
Through a dynamic series of Stakeholder Engagement (SHE) activities, IDEATION has fostered dialogue and gathered invaluable insights from a diverse range of actors. These activities included:
- Kick-off (KoM) and follow-up Multi-Stakeholder Forums (MSFs) conducted in person, online, and in hybrid formats, across 14 European regions.
- In-depth conversations to gather specific expertise.
- Active participation in existing events and organization of dedicated networking sessions to align with other relevant EU projects and initiatives.
A cornerstone of IDEATION’s strategy has been robust collaboration with numerous EU projects and initiatives. Highlights include:
- WATERVERSE
- AquaInfra
- EcoDaLLi
- DALIA
- WATERLINE
- FERRO
The engaged stakeholders represent the full Quintuple Helix spectrum, with a strong representation from the academic system. While technical Digital Twin (DT)/data experts and potential users have been a primary focus, IDEATION is committed to broadening engagement, particularly with citizen groups, and NGOs, in the upcoming second round of MSFs to validate the project’s reference architecture and roadmap.
These extensive engagement activities and cross-project collaborations will continue throughout the lifetime of the IDEATION project, ensuring its outputs are relevant, impactful, and widely adopted.
